Join our Cultural Counsellor for a time of reflection and teachings. 

Here at 4D we are holding our weekly, Monday Fires in person at the Tipi again. Check our Facebook each Thursday to sign up to join our weekly fires in person. Please remember to practice the COVID-19 protocols and masks are required!
These weekly Fires will be the opportunity to smudge, learn about mental health, and listen to some storytelling or teachings.

Here is the line-up of topics that will be discussed:

  • Lisa - Start with smudge and drumming
  • Sebastian - Teachings at the Fire
  • Al- Teachings from an Elder 

Beading circle


Weekly, Thursdays at 6:00 pm-8:00 pm EST 

For Indigenous students only 

Our beading circle is run by Dr. Karen Lawford weekly via Zoom. This circle is open to all Indigenous students, no matter what your current beading skill level is. You can pick up a new skill, work on an existing project, or just hang out!

Drumming Circle

Hosted by our Cultural Counsellor Lisa Doxtator and Indigenous Advisor Jessica Parks. Held in-person at the Four Directions Indigenous Student Centre.

Gather Together

"Fill your basket; grow together." The Gather Together program offers twice-monthly workshops which focus on a different academic or life skill to support you with navigating student life at Queen's. Join Jessica from 4D and special campus guests to learn strategies, tips, and tricks to add into your basket! You are welcome to attend one or all events using the same Zoom registration link. During each workshop, there will be a draw for participants to win a $20 gift card!
