Welcome to Queen's French Camp!

The Queen’s French Camp is an initiative of the Department of French Studies at Queen’s University and has been operating since the summer of 2014. The camp program will provide an opportunity for children ages 4 to 9 to learn and experience the French language and culture in a fun, interactive, recreational setting.

Queen’s French Camp is a student run program that aims to teach French in an engaging camp style, outside the bounds of the classroom, by incorporating creative programming for campers of all abilities in French. The weekly summer sessions seek to inspire interest in the French Canadian identity while incorporating the Ontario curriculum standards. Campers are encouraged, but never required to communicate in the French language, ultimately ensuring an inclusive and comfortable environment.

With an excellent team of qualified staff and innovative language-learning activities, the Queen’s French Camp is sure to be a success again this year!

The camp runs from 9am-4pm, Monday-Friday (excluding holidays) in Kingston Hall on campus. Before and after care is also available from 8am-9am and 4pm-5pm.
