The painted wood of an old gym is now part of the north wall of the lower level of Mitchell Hall.
A number of elements from the Physical Education Centre (PEC) were used in the new space, including a gym floor that is now part of the north wall (seen here), and the old pool ceiling repurposed as wall material in the building’s atrium. The new facility retains the heritage facade of the PEC building (below).
