Positive signs of things to come?
I'm in awe of the state-of-the-art transformation of the Alumni Review. It has a perfect match of print and image, mind and body, as befits our societal shift.

The print version is now a compelling page-turner from start to finish, with readers learning rapidly to anticipate something good in the yellow boxes.

And for those of us raised with the long history of print, the links to ReviewPlus [the Review’s on-line supplement] are a good reminder that there is still more.

The delivery to my mail box of the Fall 2009 issue of the Review, on a beautiful autumn day, coincided with the re-opening of the Earl Street construction block. I drove past and gaped at the clean uncluttered lines of the new Queen's Centre, already planted with a row of sturdy young trees.

Both the Review and Queen's Centre are great positive signifiers for the Queen's-grad imprint on this challenging new century.

Kudos, everyone, for the hard work and all those extra hours. Looks like a difficult job, very well done!
