AVAILABLE EXPERT – On-air shooting of 2 reporters in Virginia

Queen's University professor emeritus and communications expert Vincent Mosco is available to comment on this morning's on-air shooting of two reporters in Moneta, Virginia.

Professor Mosco has previously spoken about the effects of social media on the manhunts following the 2013 Boston Bombing and the 2014 Parliament Hill Shooting; particularly on the risks of misinformation being spread through social media, the effects on those who view traumatic events through shared video and the effect social sharing has on police activities during a manhunt.
