Available Expert - Apple WWDC 2016

Monday, June 13, 2016

Queen`s University marketing expert Neil Bearse is available to comment on the start of the 2016 Apple Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC), as well as any new product or service offerings that may be announced. Apple is expected to unveil the latest versions of the iOS and OS X operating systems, though other suprise announcements could be made during the keynote address.

“For nearly a decade, as smartphone growth defined an industry, the tech world tuned in to Apple events for a preview of the future," says Mr. Bearse. "With that market maturing and sales in decline, the focus has shifted. Amazon, Facebook and Google have each demonstrated an exciting vision of what’s next: intelligent assistants and virtual reality. WWDC is Tim Cook’s opportunity to demonstrate that Apple has what it takes to keep up.”

Neil Bearse is the Director of Marketing at the Smith School of Business at Queen's University. He will be watching the Apple WWDC Keynote address, slated to start at 1 pm ET and is available to comment by phone before 4 pm.
