AVAILABLE EXPERT – Blackberry releases second quarter numbers

Friday, September 25, 2015

Queen’s University business expert John-Kurt Pliniussen is available to comment on Blackberry’s second quarter announcement that shows it’s still struggling with its turnaround plan. The Canadian smartphone company reported $51 million of net income for the three months ended Aug. 29, which was an improvement on the net loss of $207-million a year ago but it still fell short of expectations.

“The results for today’s Blackberry announcement are underwhelming,” says Dr. Pliniussen. “There seems to be little marketing sunshine on the horizon for Blackberry that can halt the declining share price drop.”

Please note Dr. Pliniussen is only available for print interviews.
