Available Expert - Census data released tomorrow

Tuesday, February 7, 2017

Queen’s University census expert Mark Rosenberg is available to comment on the release of the 2016 Census of Population and Dwelling Counts. The newly-released data will help political leaders make a number of decisions that affect the daily lives of Canadians such as public transportation.

This census also marks the first time new census data-collection methods were used. The more accurate the numbers, the more likely multiple pages of the census questionnaire will be dropped in 2021.

Dr. Rosenberg is the Canada Research Chair in Development Studies and is currently the co-chair of the scientific steering committee of the Earth System Science Partnership on Global Environmental Change and Human Health. He is also a steering group member of the International Human Dimensions Program on Global Environmental Change Advisory Group on Human Health.

Please note Dr. Rosenberg is only available for phone interviews.
