AVAILABLE EXPERT: Climate change report brings grim news

Monday, November 3, 2014

Queen’s University climate change expert John Smol is available to comment on Sunday’s United Nations climate change report that said the change that is happening is entirely man’s fault and limiting the impact may require reducing greenhouse gas emissions to zero this century.

The information came from the fourth and final volume of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change’s climate assessment document.

“The report echoes what many scientists have been saying for so long – we are now in the emergency room,” says Dr. Smol. “This needs immediate and decisive action.”
