AVAILABLE EXPERT: Decision imminent in Ferguson, Missouri shooting

Queen’s University surveillance and security expert David Murakami Wood is available to comment on the Ferguson, Missouri shooting and how the police are preparing for the grand jury’s decision. He can comment on the militarization of the police in preparation and also surveillance that might be used in case of violence.

In Ferguson, stores have already boarded up their windows, civil rights groups are holding non-violence training sessions and the city is asking for calm prior to the grand jury decision which is expected any day. There have also been fliers distributed encouraging people to stockpile food, water and medicine in case of any civil unrest.
