Available Expert - The final week of the 2016 Presidential election

Queen's University political expert Jessica Merolli is available for interviews in the closing days of the 2016 Presidential campaign.

Dr. Merolli is a Skelton-Clark Postdoctoral Fellow at Queen's University. She is available to discuss topics such as the impact of gender and race on the campaign and media coverage, rules and regulations relating to voter identification and the question of election ‘fraud’, voter intimidation, the impact of the campaign's "get out the vote" efforts. She will also be live-tweeting the results of the election on Nov. 8.

The Department of Political Studies will also host a panel discussion and Q&A titled “What Just Happened? Explaining the US Election Results,” on November 9, from 7 to 8:30 pm in Memorial Hall at Kingston City Hall. The panel will consist of political studies professors Catherine Conaghan, David Haglund, Bruce Berman and Jessica Merolli, and will be moderated by Jonathan Rose. Media are invited to attend and are asked to RSVP.
