Queen’s University political expert Tim Abray-Nyman can comment on Global Television suspending Leslie Roberts. The news anchor was suspended after a media report revealed he was part owner of a public relations firm. He has been suspended indefinitely pending a full investigation.
“The media play an important, role in our democratic institutions, questioning and holding authority to account,” says Mr. Abray-Nyman. “Mr. Roberts's partnership in a PR firm would appear to further erode our trust in the media's ability to perform that important role.”
