Available Expert - Major Bitcoin price fluctuations worry investors

Thursday, January 18, 2018

Queen’s University business expert John-Kurt Pliniussen is available to comment on the volatility that has recently shaken Bitcoin’s valuation, and the valuation of cryptocurrencies more widely.

“Like all commodities, cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin will have value swings based on the emotions of the investors,” says Dr. Pliniussen. “Platinum is currently going through a similar downward plunge.”

“Cryptocurrencies, though, are here to stay. The huge Bitcoin sell off was predicted over a year ago and is now simply a result off its overvaluation bubble bursting.”

Dr. Pliniussen is available for comment by phone between 11 am and 2 pm EST.
