Available Expert - NATO meeting in Brussels

Queen's University defence expert Stefanie von Hlatky is available to comment on developments arising out of the NATO Defence Ministers Meeting, taking place this week in Brussels. The meeting comes in the midst of a re-emergence of Russia as a strategic threat, uncertainty around the Trump administration's stance on the alliance and continuing calls for all members to commit to funding defence at a rate of two per cent of their GDP.

Dr. von Hlatky is an assistant professor in the Department of Political Studies and the director of the Centre for International and Defence Policy at Queen's. Her research focus is on issues of security and strategic military alliances. She is available for phone interviews until 2 pm EST on Wednesday, Feb 15, as well as during the day on Feb 16-17.
