AVAILABLE EXPERT: New Horizons reaches Pluto

Queen’s University astronomy expert David Hanes is available to comment on the New Horizons flyby of Pluto, the last stop on the planetary tour of the solar system. New Horizons got close to Pluto at 7:49 am EST – the journey took over nine years.

New Horizons has already beamed back the best-ever images of Pluto and big moon Charon.
