Available Expert - One dead in Sao Paulo high-rise fire

Queen’s University civil engineering expert Mark Green is available to comment on the high-rise fire in Sao Paulo, Brazil that left at least one person dead. The building, located in downtown Sao Paulo, and occupied by squatters, caught fire and collapsed.

Dr. Green is able to comment on the building materials used in these types of structures and what could cause a structure like this to collapse so quickly. Last year, Dr. Green commented on the Grenfell Tower fire that saw 79 people die.
