Available Expert - Ontario Progressive Conservatives select party leader

Friday, March 9, 2018

Queen’s political expert Kathy Brock will be available for comment leading up to and following this Saturday’s announcement of the next leader of the Progressive Conservative Party of Ontario.

“The new leader of the Ontario Progressive Conservatives will face a serious challenge in uniting the caucus and the party in a short timeline,” says Dr. Brock. “This task will be made easier given that the Ontario election is so close. However, the two frontrunners, Christine Elliott and Doug Ford, and the third place contender, Caroline Mulroney, will find that presenting a unified and winning front to the Ontario electorate may be more difficult than they anticipate and will play out very differently for each of them.”

Dr. Brock can be reached for comment directly at: 613.572.1912.
