Available Expert - Presidential address to Congress

Queen's University political communications expert Jonathan Rose will be available for interviews on Wednesday, March 1 to analyze the messaging and rhetoric of President Donald Trump's speech to Congress. He will also be able to comment on reactions to the address by the media and the public at large.

President Trump will deliver his first address to a joint session of the House of Representatives and the Senate begining at 9:10 pm ET. The speech is expected to centre on plans to reform healthcare, grow the military and strengthen border security, though uncertainty remains as to the tone and reception of his remarks.

Dr. Rose is is an associate professor in the Department of Political Studies. His research focuses on topics such as mass media, political communication, political advertising and propaganda.
