    Available Expert - Queen’s expert speaks to Coca-Cola’s drop in market value after soccer star Cristiano Ronaldo’s snub

    Queen’s expert Laurence Ashworth (Smith School of Business) is available to speak to the Coca-Cola drop in market value and how this may impact celebrity endorsement credibility. Soccer player, Cristiano Ronaldo, removed two Coca-Cola bottles during a European Championship press conference, which coincided with a $4-billion drop in Coca-Cola’s share price.

    “It’s an interesting test of celebrities’ power to actually affect purchase decisions beyond the mere exposure they can provide brands,” says Dr. Ashworth.
