Soccer player, Cristiano Ronaldo, removed two Coca-Cola bottles during a European Championship press conference, which coincided with a $4-billion drop in Coca-Cola’s share price.
“It’s an interesting test of celebrities’ power to actually affect purchase decisions beyond the mere exposure they can provide brands,” says Dr. Ashworth.
