The United States midterm elections are taking place on Tuesday, November 8. The outcome of these elections will determine one-third of the U.S. Senate, the entire House of Representatives, and governors for over half of the states.
Two Queen’s University experts are available to speak about the outcomes and their implications.
Paul Gardner (Political Studies) is available to talk about the consequences for lawmaking, probable priorities of the parties depending on who wins (e.g. consequences for the Biden agenda in Congress), and the consequences of some local races for future elections (e.g. 2024).
Joel Sokolsky (Political Studies) is available to speak about the foreign policy implications coming out of the U.S. midterm elections.
To arrange an interview with Dr. Gardner or Dr. Sokolsky, please contact Media Relations Officer Victoria Klassen (Victoria.klassen@queensu.ca) or Media Relations Manager Julie Brown (brown.julie@queensu.ca) at Queen’s University News and Media Services Department in Kingston, Ont., Canada.
