AVAILABLE EXPERT – Russian plane shot down over Turkey, emergency NATO meeting called

Queen's University political studies professor Stéfanie von Hlatky is available to comment on the shooting-down of a Russian jet over Turkey early this morning. Turkey has requested an emergency meeting of the North Atlantic Council, the NATO alliance's main decision-making body, which is cheduled to take place at 15:00GMT (11:00 AM ET).

Dr. von Hlatky is an assistant professor of political studies at Queen’s University and the Director of the Queen’s Centre for International and Defence Policy (CIDP). Her research focuses include Foreign Policy Analysis, Security Studies, Military Alliances, NATO and the Canadian Armed Forces.
