Queen’s University expert Robb MacKay is available to comment on the passing of Aretha Franklin. The Queen of Soul died today at the age of 76.

“What is the musical and social debt that we owe Aretha Franklin? From civil rights and second wave feminism to Black Lives Matter, Aretha’s voice has been prominent and influential,” says Dr. MacKay.
