Queen’s University music expert Robb Mackay is available to comment on the passing of Tom Petty. The rock superstar passed away at 66. His death was confirmed this morning after a full day of speculation about his health after the rocker suffered a cardiac arrest.

“Did a guitar rock God die today,” asks Mr. Mackay, who spent time Monday evening listening to some of Petty’s greatest hits including Don’t Come Around Here No More and I Won’t Back Down. “I love this guy. It’s so sad.”

Please note Mr. Mackay is available after 2:30 pm EST today.
