AVAILABLE EXPERT: The world mourns after Paris attacks

Monday, November 16, 2015

Queen’s University public mourning expert Jill Scott is available to speak about the recent terror attacks in Paris and how the public is reacting to the events. On Friday, a series of coordinated terrorist attacks took place, killing 129 people.

“I am examining how this is similar and different compared to events like 9/11,” says Dr. Scott. “I also look at how social media is shifting forms of collective grief and how first-world tragedies elicit grief from other first-world countries.”
