AVAILABLE EXPERTS – 42nd Federal Election

Queen’s University has a number of established experts available to discuss various aspects of the 42nd federal election.

Tim Abray (Political Studies) can comment on campaign advertising, campaign strategy, voter engagement/turnout, and electoral reform.

Elizabeth Goodyear-Grant (Political Studies) can comment on: voter turnout, voting behaviour (especially related to gender and ethnicity), party leaders, women candidate s, debates, electoral system, voting rules and communication strategies. Please note she is not available for interviews until Wednesday, August 19.

Christo Aivalis (Political Studies) can comment on public perception of Justin Trudeau and his family legacy, policy regarding labour and trade unions, role and interest of organized labour in this election, history of CCF-NDP in Quebec and what it means today, the viability and history of Guaranteed Annual Income Programs and the history of vote splitting.

Jonathan Rose (Political Studies) can comment on political communications, advertising, speech, campaign rhetoric and debates.

Arthur Cockfield (Law) can comment on the Harper government’s prior tax reforms, the tax policy platforms of each party and whether tax issues will matter in the upcoming election.
