AVAILABLE EXPERTS – The Globe and Mail Leaders’ Debate 2015

Thursday, September 17, 2015

Two experts from Queen's University are available to comment on The Globe and Mail Leaders' Debate, scheduled for September 17 at 8:00 pm.

Tim Abray (Political Studies) is available to comment on how debates affect voter decision-making and engagement, as well as campaign strategy and messaging.

“Tonight’s debate will be about perceptions," says Mr. Abray. "The economy is generally named as the most important election issue by Canadians. That means viewers will be making judgements about how ready each leader appears to be to take on the job, rather than examining each individual economic policy.”

Elizabeth Goodyear-Grant (Political Studies) can provide analysis of leaders' performances in the debate, their economic policies, and the centrality of the economy to the election outcome.

Our experts will be watching the debate live and will be available for pre-debate comment as well as post-debate analysis.
