KINGSTON – Queen’s University is hosting Kingston’s largest pitch competition with $100,000 on the line for high-potential entrepreneurial teams. During the final competition, participating start-ups and non-profits will compete to take their ideas to the next level.

During the finals of the Dunin-Deshpande Summer Pitch Competition, teams have only a few minutes to make their business’ case for support, after which the judges ask a series of questions about their proposal.

  • Benjamin Barrows, Founder and CEO of technology and data firm Cabot 7
  • Allison Turner, co-founder and Director of Product Development at PnuVax

The event takes place in the Mitchell Hall Atrium on August 22. The opening remarks start at 2:45 pm with the pitching starting at 3 pm. The announcement of the winners takes place at 7:30 pm.

The media are welcome to cover any portion of the event.
