During Queen’s University’s fall convocation ceremonies from Oct. 11-14, five honorary degree recipients will be available to speak with media. The ceremonies will be held at Grant Hall, at Queen’s University.
Ceremonies will take place at 10:00 am and 2:30 pm daily. Details about convocation and the full schedule of events are available on our website.
What: Media is invited to attend the fall convocation ceremony and speak with select honorary degree recipients.
When: Oct. 11-13
- Interview opportunities must be arranged ahead of time
Where: Grant Hall, Queen’s University
Who: Available to speak to the media are:
- Adelle Blackett: A prolific, world-class scholar in labour law and McGill’s first Black law professor.
- Suzanne Lacasse: An Officer of the Order of Canada and former managing director of the Norwegian Geotechnical Institute.
- Alex Cuba: A multiple Latin Grammy, Grammy, and Juno Award winning singer-songwriter, producer, and musician.
- Evelyn Forget: An esteemed economist whose research has been dedicated to ensuring that everyone has access to the tools and resources they need to live full lives.
- Helen Humphreys: An award-winning author of four books of poetry, nine novels, and six works of creative non-fiction.
