MEDIA ADVISORY: Presiding Officer of the Scottish Parliament to visit Queen's

KINGSTON, ON – Queen’s University is pleased to announce that the Presiding Officer of The Scottish Parliament, the Rt. Hon. Tricia Marwick MSP will visit the university this weekend as a Distinguished Visitor.
PO Marwick will speak on campus Friday in a lecture titled “Young Women in Politics.” PO Marwick will then give the lecture at the Principal’s Forum on Saturday which will focus on “Scotland’s constitutional journey.”


The Rt. Hon. Tricia Marwick is the first woman to hold the post of Presiding Officer and, in her position, is a nonpartisan member of The Scottish Parliament.


Please note: PO Marwick will be available for media interviews on Friday afternoon between 1:15 and 2:00 pm. Both speaking engagements will be open to the media.
