Media Advisory - Queen's University hosts the Duncan G. Sinclair Lectureship

KINGSTON – Globe and Mail health columnist André Picard is the featured speaker for the 2017 Duncan G. Sinclair Lectureship in Health Services and Policy Research. His lecture is titled The Stumbling Blocks to Health Reform.


Mr. Picard is the health columnist at The Globe and Mail, where he has been a staff writer since 1987.  He is the author of four bestselling books, most recently Matters of Life and Death. Mr. Picard will be available to sign copies of his book, which will be on sale in the lobby before the lecture.


In recognition of Duncan G. Sinclair's contribution to the MRC, and reflective of his interest in health policy, Dr. Henry Friesen, President of the Medical Research Council of Canada, announced the establishment of the Dr. Duncan G. Sinclair Lectureship in Health Services and Policy Research at Queen's University in November 1997. The MRC pledge was matched by the Faculty of Health Sciences.


Tuesday, October 31 with a media availability starting at 3:45 pm. The event is being hosted at the Isabel Bader Centre for the Performing Arts, 390 King Street West
