Media Advisory - Queen's University hosts panel discussion on coronavirus

KINGSTON – The Queen’s University School of Policy Studies is hosting a panel discussion The Wuhan Coronavirus: Have the lessons learned from SARS helped? The public is welcome to hear from four Queen’s experts including Drs. Gerald Evans, Samantha Buttemer, Kieran Moore, and David Walker.


  • Dr. Gerald Evans - Chair of the Division of Infectious Diseases and Professor of Medicine, Queen’s University; Attending Staff, Kingston Health Sciences Centre
  • Dr. Samantha Buttemer - Family Physician and Resident in Public Health and Preventive Medicine, Queen’s University
  • Dr. Kieran Moore - Medical Officer of Health, Kingston, Frontenac, Lennox and Addington Health Unit;
    Professor, Emergency Medicine and Family Medicine, Queen’s University
  • Dr. David Walker - Chair, Ontario Expert Panel on SARS and Infectious Disease Control (2003-4);

The panel discussion takes place Thursday, January 30 starting at 5 pm, Robert Sutherland Hall, 138 Union Street, Room 202.
