Duncan McArthur Hall will be closed during a planned power outage on Friday, Oct. 31 from 7 am - 1 pm while Physical Plant Services engineers, staff, and contractors perform testing and maintenance on the main electrical equipment for the building as well as complete repairs on a medium voltage switch which failed earlier this year.

Please keep the following information in mind as you prepare for this outage:

• No unauthorized personnel will be permitted in the building while this work is completed.
• Emergency generator power will be available during the period identified above.
• There are no fire safety implications resulting from this work as the fire alarm system will remain operational at all times.
• Building occupants are asked to shutdown their computers and sensitive equipment prior to leaving for the day on Thursday, October 30th.
