Fire alarm testing in Mitchell Hall, Queen's Centre on Monday morning

Contractors, working on behind of Ellis Don, will be verifying audible devices and visual strobes for the fire alarm systems in Mitchell Hall and Queen’s Centre on Monday, March 4 between 7 am and 8:30 am. Activations will occur in the following areas:

  • Mitchell Hall - Bartlett Gym
  • Queen’s Centre - Ramp
  • Queen’s Centre - Parking Garage
  • Queen’s Centre - Corridor LL2-B269

During testing, the audible bells and visual strobes will activate for less than 60 seconds at a time. If a device remains active for longer than 60 seconds, it is to be treated as a real fire and the buildings should be evacuated according to established fire evacuation procedures. Do not use elevators.
