Fire alarm verification for McLaughlin Hall

Technicians from Siemens Building Technologies will be performing a brief fire alarm verification in McLaughlin Hall on Friday, May 4 between 9:30 am and 10 am. This testing of horns and strobe lights is required to verify devices added as part of the ongoing renovation project on the second and third floors.

During the course of the testing period, if an alarm is audible for longer than one minute, it should be treated as a real alarm and the building should be evacuated immediately via the nearest safe exit – do not use the elevator – and go to your designated meeting place according to the established departmental fire safety plan.

The technicians will contact the Emergency Report Centre at the start of and upon completion of the testing period.
