    Flags lowered for Professor Emeritus Platenius

    Flags at Queen’s are lowered in honour of professor emeritus Peter Platenius, who passed away on Sunday May 15, 2016 in his 80th year.

    Professor Platenius first joined the Department of Psychology as a lecturer in 1966, becoming an associate professor by 1972. He served as Acting Director of Part-Time Studies in 1933 and retired from the university in 1996. Predeceased by his wife Inez, he is survived by his sons David and John, daughter-in-law Michelle and grandchildren Owen, Reed and Chloe.

    A casual Celebration of Life will be held for Professor Platenius outdoors at 6657 Craig Rd., Verona, Ontario from 5 pm until dark on Saturday, July 2. For those who wish, donations may be made to the U.H.K.F. South Eastern Ontario Cancer Clinic.
