Provost announces search for next Vice-Provost and University Librarian

Queen’s Provost and Vice-Principal Mark Green announced today that the search for the next Vice-Provost and University Librarian will begin in early summer.

Provost Green will chair a committee to advise Principal and Vice-Chancellor Patrick Deane on the future direction of the Queen’s University Library, and on the selection of the next Vice-Provost and University Librarian.

Future Prospects of the Faculty and Advisory Committee Membership

Members of the university community are invited to submit letters with commentary on the present state and future prospects of the Queen’s University Library, and to suggest individuals who might serve on the Principal’s Advisory Committee (PAC). Respondents are asked to indicate whether they wish to have their letters shown, in confidence, to the members of the PAC.

All submissions and Advisory Committee suggestions are to be sent to the Office of the Provost, via e-mail, to provost@queensu.ca by 5 pm on July 2, 2020.

Online Survey

In addition to written comments, members of the Queen’s community may provide input via an online survey that is being conducted by Boyden, the executive search firm Queen’s has engaged to support the search. The survey will be open for comments until 5 pm on July 2, 2020.
