Queen’s remembers student Ryan Cattrysse

Ryan CattrysseQueen’s University regrets to inform the community of the death of student Ryan Cattrysse.

Ryan passed away at Victoria Hospital, in London, on Sunday, June 17, surrounded by his loving family. He was in his 23rd year. Ryan graduated from Queen’s in May 2018 as a chemical engineer. During his time at Queen’s, Ryan held several roles in the Engineering Society of Queen’s University, including a member of the orientation week committee, director of first-year students, and also worked for the university as team lead for Science Quest.

“The loss of someone so young, who is engaged in his profession and just starting out in the world, is tragic,” says Daniel Woolf, Principal and Vice-Chancellor. “Our deepest sympathies go out to Ryan’s family, friends, and everyone in the Queen’s community who knew him.”

Flags on campus will be lowered in Ryan’s memory on Thursday, June 21.
