This Thursday from 1 – 3 pm, Queen’s will host the regional launch of the Ontario Human Rights Commission’s (OHRC) new Policy on Preventing Discrimination Based on Mental Health Disabilities and Addictions at the Donald Gordon Conference Centre.
The new policy offers clear, user-friendly guidance to organizations on how to handle and resolve human rights matters related to mental health and/or addictions issues.
Chief Commissioner of the OHRC Barbara Hall will be in Kingston to talk about the new policy and discuss best practices for employers, housing and service providers, and others to help them maintain environments which respect human rights. Daniel Woolf, Queen’s Principal and Vice-Chancellor, will also speak at the event.
All members of the Queen's community are invited to attend this event.
