  • Crews are currently working on Stuart Street completing pipe work and are tentatively scheduled to finish this work within the next week.
  • Electrical duct work is currently being completed on Arch Street.

  • Two catch basins will be installed on Arch Street next week. With the completion of this work the intersection at Arch/Stuart will re-open to vehicle traffic.
  • The intersection of Stuart/George Streets is anticipated to be open to vehicle traffic in the next week with George Street accessible from Barrie Street.
  • As areas on Stuart and Arch Streets become clear of construction the remaining sidewalks and curbs will be formed and poured.
  • Excavation and paving of Stuart Street is tentatively scheduled to begin in the next two weeks. When this work reaches the area of the underground walkway from the parking garage below Nixon Field to Kingston General Hospital, the tunnel will be closed to pedestrians. Taggart Construction staff will be at the tunnel to assist users with accessibility needs — work will be suspended to allow passage through the tunnel but users should expect delays. It is anticipated the tunnel will be closed for a portion of one day. More details will be available in the coming weeks.
