A summary of roadwork activities for the week of July 13.
- Excavation work to replace underground utilities continues on the lower part of Arch Street and the street remains closed to through traffic with no access to Stuart Street. Arch Street is open to two-way traffic (one-way signs have been covered) with vehicles entering and exiting from Union Street.
- Construction will return to Stuart Street early next week and move to the intersection of Stuart and George streets. As a result George Street will not be accessible from Stuart Street. George Street will be open to two-way traffic during this time (one-way signs on George Street will be covered). This work is expected to take a week to 10 days.
- When the work is complete in the intersection of Stuart and George streets, construction will move back to Arch Street. At this time George Street will become accessible to vehicles travelling eastbound on Stuart Street.
- Sidewalk and curb will be poured this week on a north side section of Stuart Street.
- Final top-coat asphalt is tentatively scheduled to be completed on George, King, Okill and Barrie streets during the week of July 20. On the days this work takes place on George and Okill streets, no street parking will be allowed but access to parking lots on George and Okill streets will be maintained.
