    Roadwork construction update: July 6-10

    A summary of roadwork activities for the week of July 6.

    • Crews continue excavation work to replace underground utilities on Stuart Street heading east towards the Arch Street intersection. Crews are expected to reach the intersection by the end of this week. At this time Arch Street is closed to through traffic and open to two-way traffic (one-way signs on Arch have been covered and a stop sign will be placed at the Union/Arch intersection to assist vehicles in exiting onto Union Street).
    • Taggart staff is on-hand to assist vehicles and pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.
    • Construction on the lower block of Arch Street will begin the week of July 6.
    • George Street remains open and accessible to vehicles travelling eastbound on Stuart Street.
    •  Sidewalk, curb and base asphalt work on Okill Street is complete. Final top coat asphalt will be completed on George/Okill/King/Barrie Streets in the next couple of weeks. When dates for this work are confirmed details will be shared.
    • Sidewalk layout has started on the north side of Stuart Street.
