A summary of roadwork activities for the week of June 29.
- Excavation work continues on Stuart Street west of the George Street intersection for the remainder of this week. Beginning Tuesday, June 30, crews will be returning to the block of Stuart Street between George Street and Arch Street to complete excavation that was delayed in that area. During this phase of work, George Street will be accessible to traffic travelling eastbound on Stuart Street.
- The intersection of Arch Street and George Street will remain open through the early part of next week, but will be blocked in early July by the progress of construction on Stuart Street. Traffic will be able to access Arch Street from Union Street, with Arch Street becoming open to two-way traffic to allow vehicles to exit via Union Street.
- Construction on the lower block of Arch Street is tentatively scheduled to begin the week of July 13.
- The majority of curb and sidewalk work has been completed on Okill Street, with paving of the road surface scheduled for the week of June 29, weather permitting. Okill Street, including parking lots, will remain accessible during the paving process, although minor delays in accessing parking can be expected.
- Electrical work is nearing completion on George Street.
- Crews will not be working on site on Wednesday, July 1, in observance of the Canada Day holiday.
