    Roadwork construction update: Sept. 14-18

    A summary of roadwork activities for the week of September 14.
     

    • The final coat of asphalt on Stuart Street is scheduled for paving on Tuesday, September 15 and Wednesday, September 16, subject to weather conditions. During this time there will be no on-street parking and any vehicles parked on Stuart Street during this time will be towed. The City and the contractor will be ensuring this schedule is communicated to the general public, and the contractor will be leaving notices on vehicles on Monday, September 14.
    • Crews are currently working to raise valves and catch basins to the street level on Stuart Street in advance of the final coat of paving.
    • The concrete access ramps on the corner of Stuart Street and Barrie Street are currently being removed and replaced with new concrete.
    • The street lights on Stuart Street will be activated by the end of this week.
    • The construction site trailer located on King Street West near the emergency room ramp will be removed by the end of September.
    • The paving on Stuart Street early next week will represent the end of the majority of construction operations. A small crew will be on site the days following to complete clean up. Paint of road lines and parking spaces will be completed by a separate contractor shortly after construction is completed.
