A summary of roadwork activities for the week of September 7.
- Paving of base asphalt has been completed on Stuart and Arch Streets. Crews are currently working to raise utility holes and catch basins to the surface level. The reason these items are buried during the initial phase of paving is to reduce the time it takes to pave the base layer of asphalt as well as to prevent damage to paving equipment.
- The majority of curbs and sidewalks are completed throughout the construction zone. Crews will be completing sidewalk pouring in various areas throughout the site in the coming week.
- Streetlights on Stuart and Arch Streets will be activated early this week.
- Paving of the final layer of asphalt throughout the construction zone is scheduled to take place in mid-September. Specific details on timing of this work will be available next week.
- Stuart and Arch Streets are now open to through traffic.
