    A steam shutdown will affect several buildings on Monday, June 15

    Steam Shutdown

    A steam shutdown is scheduled to begin on Monday, June 15th at 8:30 am for following buildings while Physical Plant Services staff replace gate valves on the Ban Righ Hall high pressure steam line:

    • Adelaide Hall
    • Ban Righ Hall
    • Chown Hall
    • LaSalle Building
    • Stirling Hall
    • University Club
    • Victoria Hall
    • Watson Hall

    There will be no steam supply for building hot water heating systems or building domestic hot water for sinks, safety showers and equipment, etc. for all of the affected buildings except for the LaSalle Building, which will have an electric hot water tank to ensure the delivery of domestic hot water while this work is completed.

     

    A separate notice will be issued on Tuesday, June 16th whenever the gate valve replacement is completed and the steam supply has been restored to all of the affected buildings.  Any questions or concerns regarding this shutdown should be directed to Fixit by phone at 77301 or by e-mail.
