UPDATE: Campus Electricity Demand Reduction Notification: Aug. 13-14

To reduce electricity costs and contribute to the sustainability of Ontario's energy system, Queen's University is participating in an electricity peak demand reduction program.

UPDATE>>> The Electricity Demand Reduction for today (Monday, Aug. 13) has been cancelled due to changes in provincial demand. The forecast for the balance of the week remains as published earlier today.

In order to reduce electricity costs and contribute to the sustainability of the province’s energy system, the university is once again participating in an electricity peak demand reduction program.

Due to changes in demand across the province, there will be an Electricity Demand Reduction today (Monday, Aug. 13) and tomorrow (Tuesday, Aug. 14). Attached is a notification bulletin detailing the buildings participating in these reductions as well as an updated forecast through Friday, Aug. 17. A separate notice will be issued on Wednesday and Thursday morning to either confirm or cancel the reduction for Wednesday, Aug. 15 and Thursday, Aug. 16, respectively.
