Water shutdown to affect most buildings on Bader Lane

A water shutdown will affect the following buildings on Tuesday, Sept. 1 between 9 am and 5 pm while V.J. McMullin, working on behalf of Utilities Kingston, replaces a fire hydrant and valve in front of Stirling Hall:

    • 32 Bader Lane (Ban Righ Centre)
    • 51 Bader Lane (Grey House)
    • Agnes Etherington Art Centre
    • Rideau Building
    • Stirling Hall
    • Victoria Hall
    • Watson Hall

During the shutdown period, there will be no domestic hot or cold water available for hand washing, flushing toilets, kitchen use, safety showers, lab equipment and cooling systems.

    Please note:

    • Water will be fed from an alternate source to the chiller at the Agnes Etherington Art Centre to ensure that temperatures are maintained in critical areas.
    • Physical Plant Services will arrange for fire watches to be conducted where necessary.
    • Jeffery Hall will not have any cooling as a result of this shutdown.
    • Occupants in the affected buildings will have to use the public washrooms in Chernoff Hall, Mackintosh-Corry Hall or Jeffery Hall during this shutdown.
