SeQure is a mobile safety app developed for the Queen's Community. It provides quick access to Campus Security and Emergency Services resources, including the campus security emergency line, and student government services such as AMS Walkhome.
SeQure provides tips, information and tools to help the Queen's community further enhance their security.
SeQure features include: COVID-19 Updates and Self-Assessment Tool, Link to FAQ on Privacy Information
Emergency Contacts: Contact the correct services for the Queen’s University area in case of an emergency or a non-emergency concern.
AMS Walkhome: This is a free service provided by the Alma Mater Society that provides the user with a team of one male and one female who will walk with the user to their destination.
SafeWalk: Similar to the AMS Walkhome Service but operated by Campus Security and Emergency Services when Walkhome is not available.
Friend Walk: Use the app to send your location to a friend or family member as you walk, they can follow your progress and alert emergency services if required.
Tip Reporting: Multiple ways to report a safety/security concern directly to Queen’s University security.
Safety notifications: Receive instant notifications and instructions from campus safety when on-campus emergencies occur.
Crime Mapping: View recent crimes that have occured on and near campus.
WorkAlone: Use the app to "check in" with you periodically while working alone or during late hours. If you don't respond, the app will alert Campus Security.
Campus safety resources: Maps of campus, map of Emergency Phone locations, and emergency planning documents.
Support Services: Where to find supports on campus.
Accessibility notifications: Get push notifications regarding accessibility issues on campus.
