Ph.D. Candidate Wins the Miltacs Globalink Research Award

Kaj Sullivan Mitacs Gloablink Research Award WinnerCongratulations Ph.D. Candidate Kaj Sullivan, who is the recipient of the Miltacs Globalink Research Award. This award funds 12-24 weeks of research at overseas universities.

Kaj will be going to Imperial College London to conduct research. He explains he will “work on a project investigating whether a zinc isotopic effect accompanies a 20% decrease in zinc concentration observed in the serum of healthy humans in the several hours after consuming a meal. This work is important for determining whether a fasting period is required before sample collection in further studies investigating the distribution of zinc isotopes in human serum.”

Congratulations Kaj!
