John Stackhouse

Following Queen's, I married Kari Sleeth (Rehab '78) and moved to Chicago. I attended Wheaton College Graduate School in Illinois (MA in Church History and Theology) and the University of Chicago (PhD in History and Theology of Christianity). Since then, I have taught European history at Northwestern College in Iowa and Modern Christianity at the University of Manitoba. From 1998 until now, I have served as the Sangwoo Youtong Chee Professor of Theology and Culture at Regent College, an international graduate school of Christian studies affiliated with the University of British Columbia in Vancouver. I enjoyed a visit to Queen's in October 2009, not least because of the pleasure of getting reacquainted with former classmate Daniel Woolf who now, as I understand it, has some important responsibilities at the university.
